DOGWALK: FUNDRAISER HOW-TO
Thank you so much for your interest in registering for the 2024 DogWalk & FunFest!

There are two ways to fundraise: as an INDIVIDUAL or by joining with other fundraisers to form a TEAM. We welcome both—the only difference is that we offer prizes for both the Highest Fundraiser and the Highest Fundraising team.

To get you started on the right paw, we have provided a brief how-to guide on setting up your online fundraising page. Just choose your fundraiser type to learn more:

Join a Fundraising Team
This option is for those who want to join an existing fundraising team.

STEP 1
Visit the Walk fundraising page (https://giving.lab-rescue.org/labwalk2024) and click the button: "Sign-Up To Join Us At The Walk!"

NOTE: The fundraising website is mobile-optimized, but it is much easier to create your page on a computer!
STEP 2
Three options will appear—choose "Join a Team."
STEP 3
To find the team you want to join, you can either search by team name or change the option in the dropdown menu to search for a team captain's name.
STEP 4
You will be asked if you would prefer to log-in to your account or create one.
Note that you may already have an account if:

You’ve donated online to Lab Rescue since November 1, 2018

You have registered for our Holiday Party since 2018
​​
If this is the case, the platform will notify you after you try to sign-up with your email address.
If you do have an account and you cannot recall your password, then please use the Forgot Password option within the platform.
STEP 5
Customize your fundraising goal, create a headline to greet your page visitors, and set up a short URL to make it easy for you to send your page to donors. (Please note the fields with the red asterisks are required)
For the short URL, we recommend using your name. See the image for an example.
STEP 6
You will be offered the chance to customize your profile photo, and asked to provide a few more pieces of information for our records.
STEP 7
Your basic fundraising page has now been completed!
We recommend customizing it further by clicking the "Manage" button in the upper right corner to access your Fundraising Dashboard.
STEP 8
In the Dashboard, you can:

Review an overview of your fundraising progress

Customize the story on your fundraising page to share what Lab Rescue means to you

Review your individual donations

Make use of provided email messages to request support from your donors

Edit your fundraising page details

Start fundraising!
