Adopting as a Townhome or Apartment Resident: As many of our dogs come from rural areas—where they have limited exposure to cars, new people and dogs, unexpected noises, and being leashed—we may limit placements for some dogs to single-family homes. Learn more >

Adopting & Fences: We require fences for some of our dogs for a range of reasons. Learn more >

Houston
Gender:
Male
Age:
4 years
Good with:
Kids 10+, Dogs
Needs:
A loving forever home with a physical fence and no other male dog in the home
Ready for takeoff!
THANKS TO A GENEROUS DONOR, WHO THINKS EVERY LAB DESERVES A HOME OF THEIR OWN, THE ADOPTION FEE FOR THIS PUP IS $200.
Houston is a very sensitive dog with a very big heart. Just look at that sweet smile!! He is sweet and affectionate with people he trusts, and his foster loves his happy, goofy personality. This kind soul was not treated kindly in the past, and punitive training methods left him with broken trust. Lab Rescue found Houston the help he needed to learn to trust again, and he now knows that life can be happy with his trusted caregivers. With guidance and slow introductions - ideally over a couple meetings - he warms up to new people. He likes to play with toys, take long strolls on the beach, and have a good zoom around the yard. He has moderate energy overall, but he is still a younger pup and needs regular exercise. Houston is selective about his dog friends, preferring laid-back females. Once he finds a buddy, aka girlfriend, he really likes to play. He is not phased by other dogs outside, although he will never be a dog park guy. Houston would love nothing more than a home where he’s the only dog to get all the love, but a home with a laid-back, playful female dog will be considered. Houston is a wonderfully sweet soul who will do well in a calm home where he will be understood and be showered with the love and affection he craves and deserves.

Joker
Gender:
Male
Age:
1 year
Good with:
Kids 10+, Dogs
Needs:
A loving forever home
No joke, this pup is the best!
How about an adorable Joker to make things wild? This cutie pie was found as a stray and is now ready for a forever home! Joker is quite young, so his new family should expect the typical puppy energy and occasional antics. They'll have help though because he has a required training addendum and Joker is the best dog!! He is playful and affectionate, loves to give kisses and snuggles. Joker is house- and crate- trained, rides really well in the car, loves going for walks, and is working on his leash manners. He knows sit and will do it without the command, and he takes treats ever so gently. We don't know much about Joker's life before the shelter, but as a young pup, we imagine he'll be excited to try and learn about new things with his family--there's no telling what he'll enjoy doing with his humans. Maybe some hiking? Swimming? Fetch? All of the above??? Joker and his new family will have plenty of time to test things out and create a life they love together! If you're ready for a full house, come meet Joker today!
Kellsie

A loving forever home with a physical fence
Fun-loving Kellsie!
THANKS TO A GENEROUS DONOR, WHO THINKS EVERY LAB DESERVES A HOME OF THEIR OWN, THE ADOPTION FEE FOR THIS PUP IS $200.
Kellsie is a snuggly, active young girl. She is a high energy, and likes to play with male dogs and mellow female dogs. She also likes to chill outside and sunbathe after getting some zooms out in the yard. Kellsie warms up slowly to new people, but she can easily be won over with patience, a gentle voice, and cookies…lots of cookies. Kellsie knows most basic obedience cues, walks nicely with a head halter, and loves sniffing and exploring. She comes when called and takes treats gently. Kellsie hopes her people will enjoy taking her to agility or on hikes/long walks, and will welcome LOTS of sweet snuggles. If you are looking for a loyal, active, fun companion, Kellsie would love to meet you!
Kuma
Gender:
Male
Age:
2 years
Good with:
Kids 10+, Dogs
Needs:
A loving forever home with a physical fence where he is the only dog
Looking for love!
Kuma had a wonderful outing with a volunteer; they can't say enough good things about this boy! He's a total sweetheart. Kuma takes treats pretty gently from a closed hand, and knows to sit on command. He is so very affectionate with new people! Many pups are so excited for their walk that volunteers don't get those sweet affectionate moments, but not with Kuma. When our volunteer stopped to sit down, Kuma sat down at his feet and was very content to receive pets and praise. Kuma would love a fenced back yard to chase the squirrels, and a porch where he could curl up with his human to watch the world go by. He does have a high prey drive (the squirrels on his walk were certainly glad he was on a leash), but is inquisitive and attentive, making him a great training partner and companion. Kuma makes great eye contact with those bright, curious eyes, and his coat is silky smooth and soft.

Lovely Lola!
THANKS TO A GENEROUS DONOR, WHO THINKS EVERY LAB DESERVES A HOME OF THEIR OWN, THE ADOPTION FEE FOR THIS PUP IS $200.
Lola is a happy, silly girl with a delightful personality. Her foster family says she is one of the sweetest pups they have ever met. She absolutely adores humans and loves to cuddle on the couch, happily laying by your side or climbing onto your lap. She also loves to be outside and enjoys hanging out on the deck where she can watch the chipmunks and squirrels. She is great in the car and is always up for a road trip, especially if it's to McDonald's. Lola has perfect house manners and is always well-behaved when she is home alone (as long as the counters don’t have goodies on them). She enjoys collecting random items from around the house and will lay with them in her favorite spots. She enjoys a short midday walk or backyard playtime, and then has a longer walk in the evening. After her walk she may do her favorite thing - rolling around in the grass! Lola loves to play but also loves to be by your side, preferably at home or in your yard. She is easy to love and brings smiles to those around her every day.

Mack #2

Male
Age:
9 years
Good with:
Kids 10+, Dogs
Needs:
A loving forever home with a physical fence
Mack is just perfect!
THANKS TO A GENEROUS DONOR WHO WANTS TO HELP ALL SENIOR PUPS FIND THEIR FOREVER HOMES, THE ADOPTION FEE IS $125.
Mack is such a love! He is beautiful, friendly and affectionate. He has a world class lab Lean and loves attention. Mack is blind and has some age-related hearing loss, too, but he gets around pretty well using his big block head to map out his surroundings. Mack learns a lot from the resident dogs, and he will fit right into a friendly pack as long as its canine members aren’t offended by a big doofus routinely blowing through their stop signs. Mack rides well in the car. He has moderate energy and enjoys a couple long walks per day through the neighborhood. Mack’s walks are good for enrichment, as are stuffed Kongs and snuffle mats, both of which he is good at. He has begun to play with toys and favors a blue fish and a gigantic candy corn. He enjoys fruits and vegetables and is very food motivated. He is house and crate trained and does not need to be crated when you go out; however, his fosters sometimes crate him when guests arrive because he can be a little overbearing with his affections. Mack is popular in his fosters’ neighborhood and makes friends wherever he goes. We don’t know where he’s been in his life, but he is a great dog.

Markie and Little Joe
Gender:
Female/Male bonded pair
Age:
Both 2 years
Good with:
Kids 10+, Dogs
Needs:
A loving forever home with a physical fence
""Together where ever we goooo!"
DOUBLE THE FUN! LAB RESCUE WANTS TO KEEP BONDED PAIRS TOGETHER, AND IS OFFERING AN EXTRA $100 OFF THE COMBINED ADOPTION FEE FOR QUALIFYING PAIRS!
It is easy to see why Little Joe & Markie are a bonded pair, as they are inseparable and even love to share a large crate. They have gotten comfortable in their foster home and with the company of their human, male sibling and his frequently-visiting friends. However, they are still shy with new people, in the car, at the vet, and in new situations... but eager to please and learning to be brave. Usually, Little Joe depends on Markie for his confidence. Although still shy, he recently stepped up and showed he is friendly and inquisitive when he came to a guest in order to get yummy treats and pets. He LOVES being scratched under his cute chin! Once they get to know someone, they are so sweet and friendly. They absolutely love playing with other dogs and love playing and tumbling in the yard, but they settle down nicely in the house. Little Joe & Markie would love a family with patience and love to give and a quiet household. Wouldn't you like to share your love and your home with this delightful duo? The reward of trust will melt your heart! 🖤

Max-Dodge

Male
Age:
6 years
Good with:
Kids 10+, Dogs
Needs:
A loving forever home. Fence negotiable if exercise requirements are met.
Sweet, chocolate lovebug!
Max-Dodge is an amazing pup with a passion for retrieving, matched only by his love and need to kiss his people - after all, they are the ones throwing the toys for him! Not only is he incredibly handsome, he has a wonderful personality and great manners. He was a stray to a shelter where they named him Dodge before discovering his original owner had named him Max - hence, the double name. This accommodating boy answers to either. He has a high energy level, and needs plenty of fetching, hiking, and interactive play every day. But Max-Dodge also loves a quiet place of his own, such as a crate, so he can seek a little serenity from time to time. This sweet, athletic boy would love the opportunity to be your best companion. He wants to know if you have the heart...and the arm.

Mercy and Grace are a pair of super sweet and lovable labradoodles looking for their forever home. These two go together like peas in a pod. Mercy is the playful one, and looks up to Grace - she will follow Grace everywhere, even during walks! Grace tends to be the cuddly one, but both will soak up any attention they can get. Will you open your home and heart to these sweeties?
Midnight #2
Gender:
Female
Age:
2 years
Good with:
Kids 10+, Dogs
Needs:
A loving forever home with a physical fence
Petite and Sweet!
It's a brand new day for Midnight, a petite pup weighing in at 43 pounds. This super friendly girl is ready to brighten all your shadows! She is still young for a Lab, so her new family can expect her to have some puppy-like energy. Plenty of physical and mental exercise should help her channel it properly, though. Her new family should also be committed to taking her to her required training, which is sure to be a blast with this fun-loving gal! Midnight is very excited to try out fun things with her new family--from long walks to cuddles, she's ready to give it a go! Just this past weekend, she went to the vet and did great! She was a champ for all of her shots, her tail never stopped wagging, and when she got home she took a big nap to sleep off the excitement. If you're ready to start your day with love, come meet this girl today!
Minnie
Gender:
Female
Age:
1 year
Good with:
Kids 10+, Dogs, Cats
Needs:
A loving forever home with a physical fence, another dog in the home, and a female-only household
Sweet Minnie
Minnie is a sweet puppy who needs a female-only home and another doggo to keep her company and show her how to be confident and trust the world. She needs a buddy to play with too, so the resident dog should be young and playful, just like she is. Minnie is a bit shy when meeting people, but gains confidence with repeated kindness. She now accompanies her foster brother, who insists on riding in the car whenever possible, on outings and is learning that car rides are good things. They also accompany their foster moms to soccer training and meet lots of nice ladies and even an occasional nice boy! She’s an active puppy who is learning that the world can be fun! She is sweet, affectionate, loves to play and will be a joy to train, as she is smart and excited to please. Minnie sleeps through the night, mostly on the bed with Foster Mom. She is very cuddly once she trusts you and enjoys snuggling up to watch a show or a game. Nothing better than a good cuddle on a cold day!
Mozart
Gender:
Male
Age:
2 years
Good with:
Kids 10+, Dogs
Needs:
A loving forever home with a physical fence
Music to Your Ears!
Break out of that fugue! Handsome Mozart is orchestrating a move to a loving home with an awesome family! This young musician takes a minute to warm up (for now), but once he does he enjoys company and pets--his tail wags like a metronome, and he barks to ask you to come back! He would prefer a home where people are home more often than not. We're betting Mozart will enjoy trying out different things with his new family, from long walks and swimming to toys and cuddles on the couch! Mozart is adjusting to the routine in his foster home. Despite being deaf, Mozart can tell when the resident dogs bark. He doesn't react to clapping, yelling, or even sirens, but very much reacts to dogs barking. He is working hard on learning hand signals! If this boy is hitting all the right notes for you, compose yourself and come meet him today!
Niko
Gender:
Male
Age:
4.5 years
Good with:
Kids 10+, Dogs
Needs:
A loving forever home (fence negotiable - will climb)
Love Bug Niko!
Niko is house- and crate-trained and is great with the crew of pups in his foster home. He's so well behaved and loves to give his foster mom and friends cuddles and kisses whenever he can. He is so kind and sweet with the shy dogs at his foster home as well. Niko prefers a fenced yard as he likes to explore and sniff all that goes on in the yard but he would be happy with lots of good walks and adventures at the end of the leash as well. This handsome boy loves hanging out with his foster family. He's just an all around laid back guy. One of his favorite activities is hanging out in the family room and watching football with everyone. If you'll let him he will curl up with you and watch as his favorite team plays and hopefully share a few nibs of popcorn with his foster family while they watch. After all what is football without some snacks? Niko is a big, stunning goofball who needs regular exercise and a bit of basic training to be the very best boy he can be! He’s a great pup who keeps everyone entertained and he can’t wait to find his forever family.
