Finding Your Perfect Match: Below are brief descriptions of some of our dogs that are available for adoption. Because the list is constantly changing, we recommend that you apply to adopt as soon as you are ready and work with an Adoption Coordinator, who can provide you with more info about dogs that are a good match for you and your lifestyle.
-
Adopting with Children: The safety of children in an adoptive home is one of our greatest priorities. Learn more about our approach to placing dogs in homes where little ones are present.
-
Adopting as a Townhome or Apartment Resident: As many of our dogs come from rural areas—where they have limited exposure to cars, new people and dogs, unexpected noises, and being leashed—we may limit placements for some dogs to single-family homes. Learn more >
-
Adopting & Fences: We require fences for some of our dogs for a range of reasons. Learn more >

Heartworm: About ten percent of our dogs are diagnosed with Heartworm disease during their initial vetting. Heartworm is treatable, and Lab Rescue provides treatment for all infected dogs at no cost to the adopter. Learn more >

Plant
Gender:
Female
Age:
10 years
Good with:
Kids 10+, Dogs
Needs:
A loving forever home
Watch this girl bloom!
Lovely Plant was dropped at the shelter after her former owner passed away. Lab Rescue sprung her and repotted her with some updated vet care! Now she's ready for a sunny spot on the couch and in your heart. She loves car rides, de-squeaking toys, and retrieving. Plant is an incredibly friendly, gentle, older lady, who enjoys walks and lots of cuddles --she adores attention! She is good with other dogs, but we recommend housemates of a similar energy level and age. If you're ready for lots of love, come plant this girl in your heart and watch her bloom!

Sampson
Gender:
Male
Age:
10 years
Good with:
Kids 10+, Dogs, Cats
Needs:
A loving forever home with few stairs and a physical fence
Sweet Senior
THANKS TO A GENEROUS DONOR WHO WANTS TO HELP ALL SENIOR PUPS FIND THEIR FOREVER HOMES, THE ADOPTION FEE IS $125.
Sampson has settled in well at his foster home. He was a bit confused when he arrived but it didn’t take too long until he found a good spot to rest and relax. Sampson will need a home with few stairs, as he has some arthritis in his back legs. He needs some help getting in and out of the car, but really enjoys his short walks. When foster mom puts the harness on he makes little happy hops because he gets so excited to go outside. He likes to spend a little time sniffing in the yard and 'chasing' squirrels when they come by. He loves all dogs, and enjoyed meeting the few he has met so far in foster care. He‘s on older guy that needs more frequent potty breaks during the day and he communicates that well. He'll do best in a home where his humans are home more than not. Foster mom reports he's very calm and sweet; staying close to her, and napping after his walks. He’s not a big snuggler but likes to be close and get ear and belly rubs. Do you have the quiet peaceful home this lovely older gentleman needs?
